–Hugo, Canto VII: The Dream Ending |
Hugo is a Fixer working for an unnamed Office participating in the eradication of La Manchaland. He is a supporting character in Canto VII: The Dream Ending.
Appearance
Hugo is a man of average height and build. His gray-blue eyes and large nose are underlined by a cheeky grin, which itself is accentuated by his brown hair, that drapes down his cheeks. The rest of his hair is covered by a blue hood from an overcoat that gradually shifts its color into a dark gray, whilst remaining bright orange on the inside. He also wears pitch black gloves, dark gray trousers and tall boots.
Personality
Hugo is a smug and overconfident Fixer in most cases, initially being condescending to the Sinners prior to knowing they will be assisting with the eradication of La Manchaland, though backing down once the Fanghunt Office got involved. Despite his overconfidence, he agrees that he is a small-time Fixer, attempting to scrape up however much Ahn is possible through contracts. Through this mindset, he is quick to sell others out to ensure his safety or a paycheck.
Story
As the Sinners first arrive in the Backstreets of P Corp., finding the management tent organized by the Fixers aiming to take down La Manchaland, Hugo would condescendingly tell the Sinners that they aren't allowed into the area, believing them to be civilians. As he tries to tell them off, he meekly leaves the conversation as Fanghunt Office members arrive to interrogate the Company. During Alessio and Han-ul's briefing of the job to the groups, he would arrogantly whisper to Hong Lu, before later being assigned to the same area as Limbus Company, aiming to take down Area 1.
Within Area 1, he would accompany the Sinners in defeating Bloodfiends and Bloodbags while playing the games of The Barber, all the while being closely watched by Ryōshū due to his greedy and untrustworthy behavior. As the overseer arrives at the conclusion, she would demand to know who Don Quixote is, allowing whoever admits to being the user of the name to push the button of the area. Hugo would take this opportunity to sell out Don Quixote and begin to rush for the button, though Ryōshū would sever both his hands before he has the chance to push it. Lamenting on his lack of creativity in betrayal, he would bleed out while the Sinners battle The Barber.
