–Dodoru, Intervallo III: Miracle in District 20 | ||
Dodoru is a high-ranking gnome working at Santata's Gift Factory, deceitfully befriending Don Quixote in hopes of harvesting her body as materials for gifts. He is a major antagonist in Intervallo III: Miracle in District 20.
Appearance
Dodoru is a red gnome larger than the others, featuring apparent muscle, glowing white eyes, and a long, white beard overtop a circular mouth with pointed teeth. He appears markedly more humanoid than a majority of the other gnomes. On his head sits a large Santa cap.
Personality
Dodoru first appeared to be friendly, immediately greeting Don Quixote in a friendly manner due to their prior meeting. However, following the foiling of his attempt to use the Sinners as gift material, he reveals a much more violent and cunning side, having become contemptuous of members of the City.
Dodoru ends all of his sentences with "-ome" attached to the final words, a trait shared of all gnomes.
Story
During Don Quixote's investigation of the door that recently appeared aboard Mephistopheles, she met and seemingly befriended Dodoru, before returning to the bus in hopes of convincing other Sinners of going on an adventure.
Dodoru greeted Don Quixote, Heathcliff, and Dante as the trio appear through the accessway created within Santata's Gift Factory, showcasing a friendly attitude towards the group, before requesting the three to enter another room. This room was described as a reception hall, something which was immediately seen through by Dante as a storage room, rather than an actual reception hall. After leaving the room and leaving the three Sinners alone, they are alerted to the true nature of the gnomes as a group of incompetent gnomes brought their sled full of materials—and Crayon—into the room despite Dodoru telling them not to previously. While Dodoru attempted to cover the act as a game between gnomes, he quickly gave up on this facetious nature and attacked the trio, leading to the gnome's ultimate demise.
