–Domino, Intervallo III: Miracle in District 20 |
Domino is a monster Hunter of Cloud Town and a supporting character in Intervallo III: Miracle in District 20.
Appearance
Domino is an adult man sporting a hardened gaze with dark, blue, eyes, as well as several scars covering his face. He has a ginger beard and moustache, with similarly colored, long, hair peeking out from beneath a dirtied cap. Around his neck rests several animal tails, laying atop a torn and bloodied brown coat, which itself is worn over a dark blue undershirt. Around Domino's waist is a crooked satchel with several red vials kept on it, as well as sacks of unknown contents. In his gloved hands, he carries a large sword, and a dead rabbit. Atop his clothes, Domino wears large plates of metal, featured most obviously over his knees, above his black boots.
Personality
Domino is a seasoned Hunter, showing a great amount of knowledge by explaining the procedure used for the death of northern giants, following the death of Santata. He shows a soft side by comforting and arriving to save Crayon, as well as stating his wish that Crayon could enter the City, despite his admittance that she will likely be unable to ever live there. Despite his pessimism, he is helpful and kind to the Sinners, leaving Dante with a small trinket as a show of gratitude for saving Crayon.
Story
Domino is offhandedly referenced by Crayon early within Intervallo III, being mentioned as one of the Hunters that was likely battling the gnomes that attacked Cloud Town. She holds out hope that the Hunters may be coming to save her and the trio of Sinners stuck within the Factory.
Domino properly appears at the very end of the Intervallo, saving the Sinners from the fallout that would have come with the death of Santata, puncturing a hole in the giant so that the gases may escape. He explains his actions, and the fact that he came here to attempt to save those of Cloud Town that may have been taken, with the knowledge that the gnomes attack around Christmas time in a predictable manner, though this year they chose to change their pattern and attack Cloud Town directly. Crayon happily greets him, and he makes note that he and Crayon are all that're left of the former village, the rest killed in the raid. He expresses his dream of Crayon finding a place within the City, though cuts his dream short due to the belief the City has no place to spare for the young girl, something agreed upon by Faust. Following this, he offers to show antiques to the Sinners as gratitude for their work, though upon being told they were busy, simply leaves Dante with a harmless carved doll, after which he and Crayon part from the Sinners.
