–Caiman, Intervallo III: Yield My Flesh to Claim Their Bones |
Caiman is a member of the LCCA and the Team Leader of Normal Operations Unit 2. She is a supporting character introduced in Intervallo III: Yield My Flesh to Claim Their Bones.
Appearance
Caiman is a woman with short, black, hair with bangs that rest over her right eye, partially obscuring her serious face. She wears a red dress shirt and pants, seemingly typical of LCCA members, with a maroon vest overtop that has a large "CLEAR" written on the left upper breast. She has a thigh pouch on her right leg with a handgun stored in it. On her feet she wears a pair of black boots.
Personality
Caiman is an incredibly stubborn person, describing her personal philosophy as being stuck in her ways unless given a good reason to change. She is openly hostile and insults others freely, especially when she has decided that they are looking down on her or the LCCA. That said, she does show respect for Vergilius and even suggests to Dante that if they were to get the LCB into a better state that she would change her opinions on the department.
Story
While on a job at T Corp. Caiman is ordered to relay a piece of information to the LCB, who are in the District as well while on a Golden Bough retrieval mission. Upon meeting, the Sinners and Caiman exchange insults about each other's departments, as Heathcliff makes a rude comment about the LCCA claiming the spoils when it's the LCB members who do all of the hard work and Caiman responds by stating she believes the LCB to be wastes of lives thanks to their sloppy work. After continuing with her reprimanding for a while longer, Vergilius tells her to stop, and she puts a hold on her rude remarks to inform the Sinners of an additional job type they will be expected to perform: eliminating Distortions. She explains that Limbus Company has decided to make a name for themselves by researching and handling cases of Distortions Phenomenon, as the issue is well known by the public and focusing on it would allow the company to build up a reputation. Before leaving, Caiman tells Dante that the opinions of not just herself, but the company as a whole, are dependent on how they manage their department and what results they get on their missions.
