Luxcavation
Luxcavation is a secondary game mode that pits the Sinners against specific foes in a battle for rewards of Identity Training Tickets or Thread. A set number of Sinners can participate, with their current Identity, level, and E.G.O.
After a Luxcavation battle is completed for the first time, 40 Lunacy is awarded and the ability to skip the battle is unlocked.
All battles require a certain number of Enkephalin Modules, each of which are equivalent to 20 Enkephalin. Alternatively, players may spend twice the amount of Enkephalin Modules to skip the battle and earn 50% extra rewards.
EXP Luxcavation
There are currently 6 available stages with specific themes in mind, each having certain requirements and given rewards. All enemies have their resistances modified to be 'Weak' to the recommended damage type, and 'Endure' to other damage types.

Thread Luxcavation
There are 7 different Thread Luxcavation stages representing each of the 7 Sin Affinities in the game, with each stage only being accessible on a certain day of the week. These stages feature fights against certain Abnormalities that can be encountered in the Story Dungeons or Mirror Dungeons.
Thread Luxcavation offers a daily bonus three times per day. With the daily clears, one can obtain 4 Thread for Level 20 battles, 6 Thread from Level 30 battles and 8 Thread from Level 40 battles. This can be elevated to 6 Thread, 9 Thread and 12 Thread respectively when choosing to skip the battle.
Difficulty | Module Cost (Skip Cost) | Clear | Skip | Daily Bonus | Skipped Daily Bonus |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Level 20 | 2 (4) | 2 | 3 | 4 | 6 |
Level 30 | 2 (4) | 3 | 4 | 6 | 9 |
Level 40 | 2 (4) | 4 | 6 | 8 | 12 |
Level 50 | 2 (4) | 5 | 7 | 10 | 15 |
Each stage has multiple options depending on the difficulty level. The Abnormalities in these fights have their resistances modified to be 'Weak' to the Sin Affinity of the dungeon, and 'Endured' to other Sin Affinities. Starting from level 40 battles, two 'Endured' Sin resistances are boosted to 'Ineff.'.
Accessing Level 30 battles requires clearing Canto III, while Level 40 battles requires clearing Canto IV.

Trivia
- EXP Luxcavations #1, #2 and #3 initially consisted of 3 waves, with the third wave featuring the boss of the faction (Recollected Festered G Corp. H. Manager, Aida and Guido respectively). These third waves along with their respective bosses were removed soon after the release of the Luxcavations.
- Thread Luxcavations were previously themed on certain Abnormalities with the preview image displaying the featured Abnormality. With the addition of the Lv 40 Luxcavation fights, they were rethemed on Sin Affinities and featured multiple Abnormalities instead.
- The announcement post for Lv 40 Thead Luxcavations depicted So That No One Will Cry as being part of the Sloth Luxcavation rather than the Wrath Luxcavation.
