Denver
Denver is a Fixer working at the same Office as Vergilius. She is a major supporting character in Leviathan and is introduced in Book1.
Appearance
Denver is a tall woman with dark skin and light hair, notably nearly always seen wearing a pair of tinted glasses. She wears a white suit and tie with a clip on the left side of it underneath a quarter-zipped dark tracksuit jacket. On her left breast is a small ID card. She wears dark pants and shoes, and wears a scabbard connecting on the left side of her waist, used for a longsword with a curled, segmented, pommel.
When Vergilius's Office sneaks into a Ring school and gallery, she wears a dark baseball cap and long jacket overtop a white turtleneck and buttoned vest.
Personality
Denver is a casual person who's notably energetic among her coworkers, featuring a specific softspot for a collection of her coveted tinted glasses. Despite her lighthearted nature, she is highly capable in the event of tackling jobs alongside her coworkers. This is in contrast to her sudden show of greed, more focused on money rather than saving Lapis when the opportunity presented, something Nanseul mentions being common to the nature of cynical Fixers.
Story
Prior to Leviathan
Denver, as well as the other members of Vergilius's Office, would have become acquainted to the struggle of affording food to survive, slowly deluding the group to a point of greed, making them willing to harm or abandon others if it means they will achieve a stable life.
Leviathan
Denver is first seen celebrating an early departure on Christmas Eve, something only their boss is actually able to do. As Vergilius begins to leave, the group would give him treats for the children at the orphanage he frequently visited, unknowing of the visitors the orphanage would soon have.
At a later date, the group enjoyed drinks and food alongside Garnet, where a drunken Denver would be shoved aside by Lan Yen as she attempts to socialize with the fledging Fixer. Following the recon done on a school and gallery operated by the Ring, she was involved with the plan to rescue Lapis from the Finger, as well as locating the enigmatic Singularity the Finger was believed to be using.
Tasked with getting the Ring's password to the Corridor, Denver posed as a purveyor of illicit substances in the form of a kaleidoscopic device that when held to the eye allows one to see themselves across a plethora of Mirror Worlds. Approaching Pop, she stealthily began the sampling of the product for him, only to be pressured into trying it herself. Proceeding while knowing she could later wipe her mind of the experience, she saw distant versions of herself, sending her into a temporary ecstatic shock. Returning to her senses, Pop brought his own tearful eye to hers, remarking on the beauty of her eye.
Denver later conveyed the password of "Eye, fragment, and glass" to Lan Yen, yet she would not be seen again. Her status afterwards is left unknown.
