Alleyway Watchdog (O-02-10-11) is a HE-class Abnormality that can battled on Wednesdays in Thread Luxcavation, and encountered in the Mirror Dungeon through Abnormality events and as a potential boss. It is also encountered on Stations 5 & 11 of Line 1: MADNESS.

It is the source of the E.G.O Telepole.

Appearance

Alleyway Watchdog has the appearance of a large gray wolf with a slender body and limbs, and a bushy mane and tail. Three wolf heads can be seen attached to front. They each possess a crooked snout lined with sharp teeth, and a equally crooked long, thin tongue. There is visible stitching around one of the mouths, and a purple glow can be seen emanating from the other two after they are broken.

The Observation Logs describe the Abnormality as three wolves that been carefully stitched together, though it goes on to speculate that there may be even more than three due to presence of extra mouths.

A charred figure of a man is seen resting atop the wolf heads, covered in barbed wire. There are also four bloodied telephone poles inserted into the Abnormality's back that are connected together by slack power lines. Purple lightning is described to run along the lines.

I will describe my impressions of the encounter with this.
It has the appearance of three dark-furred wolves stitched together in a delicate operation. No, there may have been more, as it possessed more than three mouths.
Atop the canine heads was the figure of a person, charred beyond recognition. Though a combustion of that degree normally would have reduced such a figure to ashes, its form was as solid as it could be, its muscles even showing motion.
In addition, a heap of wooden telephone poles are lodged into the wolves' body as stakes would a prisoner. They seem to periodically emit electricity, but I couldn't fathom through what means they were able to do so.
Such is all I have to say.

I had an opportunity to engage it in combat.
It ran at me, galloping in a possessed motion.
Its visage was a far cry from a hound commanded to battle or a beast yearning to feed itself.
Running at me may have been its only choice.
I saw a purple arc of electricity sprint across its back. Which reminded me of animals tested under similar conditions in the laboratory.
Using electric stimuli, those animals were made to move as some other being intended.
It made me wonder if the same is happening to this creature.
While its claws hurt me gravely, I felt an ounce of pity for it as well.
Such is all I have to say.

It had a thunderous roar.
To describe it in more detail, it gathered bolts of lightning as if all the storms and thunders in the world struck it at once, so it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that its roar has a thunderous property.
Naturally, I was able to identify the source of its electricity.
This creature was like a living battery. Collecting lightning in its body, it used the power to fuel itself.
Alas, its usage of the lightning's energy was not for a self-motivated purpose such as pursuit of strength;
the accumulated electric forces appeared to dictate its motion, giving me the impression that it was the will of the sky that it followed.
While drawing up such thoughts, Miss Faust reminded me that it's not right to have such impressions of Abnormalities.
Thus, I conclude the log here lest it becomes too sentimental.

A thunderous howl booms from where lightning strikes.

There lies a hound with numerous heads; multiple telepoles are protruding from its back.

I can see violet flashovers sparking from all of them, though they were all of differing sizes.

The hound hasn't noticed our approach just yet.

Maybe we can take one of them if we sever its wire.

Take a small telepole. Pride & Envy Advantage check. Pass to gain a Charge E.G.O Gift. Who should yank out a telepole? Pride / Envy Advantage: ≥ 16 No Advantage: ≥ 32 Check Passed [Sinner] removed the smallest telepole. There is a low, warning growl, but that's the end of it. Maybe this level of intrusion was tolerable. Relieved, we leave the place still full of lightning strikes. E.G.O Gift Miniature Telepole obtained! Check Failed [Sinner] removed the smallest telepole. There is a low, warning growl; a spark rapidly climbs the telepole. [Sinner] quickly released the telepole, but it was too late. [Sinner] returns empty-handed, sizzled by lightning. The Selected Identity took 30 HP Damage!

Yank out all of its telepoles. Win the battle to earn a Charge E.G.O Gift I told the Sinners to yank out every telepole they see. They must've been pulling out its telepoles for a while now… The docile hound suddenly jumps to its feet and cries, its howl like a thunder. Looks like we're going to have to fight our way through. The Telepole E.G.O is extracted from Alleyway Watchdog.

Heathcliff's E.G.O was added in the Season 1 Battle Pass and is obtainable through the Dispenser from Season 2 onward. Don Quixote and Faust's E.G.O were added to the Standard Fare during Season 1 and are obtainable through the Dispenser.

• Based on its Observation Logs, it is heavily implied that Alleyway Watchdog is being controlled by an external force; the electricity it stores may be manipulating it.
