Headchicken (IR-11-02-A through -D), also known as Bongy, are ZAYIN-01 class Distortions that spawned from the Eunbong’s Bar & Fryers Owner's Distortion, Papa Bongy. They are encountered throughout Intervallo I, acting as the main enemies of the chapter.
Their appearance is based on Bongy, the mascot of Eunbong's Bar & Fryers.
These minions disappeared when the restaurant owner was no longer Distorted.
Appearance
They appear to be raw chicken with a pair of wide, googly eyes on each breast, with each eye possessing eyelashes as well. They also possess a large maw that splits their body in two, with a layer of sharp teeth that—in spite of their appearance—do not appear to cause significant harm to the humans they latch onto. They appear to lack tongues, and instead use the mouths of their human victims to communicate with each other.
Each variant also has minor differences:
- Type A is identical to the ones seen in the story.
- Type B has soy sauce and sliced vegetables on its body, and wears gloves on its hind legs.
- Type C has a sweet red sauce on its body, and wears foil wrappings on its hind legs.
- Type D wears a chef hat stained with an unknown red liquid, and wears gloves on its hind legs.

- The Chickenheads on the Chicken-headed K Corp. Security enemy sprites all have small a wooden stake holding their 'lips' shut, this is not reflected in their story sprites.
- The Headchickens may be a reference to Headcrabs from the Half-Life video game series. They have similar names and appearances, and are both characterized by latching onto to the heads of their victims to control them.
