The Edgar Family appears in Canto VI: The Heartbreaking. Its staff serves as minor antagonists during the chapter.

Description

The Edgar Family is an affluent family hailing from T Corp.'s Nest. Outside of District 20, the Edgar Family is famous in Fixer circles, with their members at times appearing in Fixer magazines. This fame appears to trace back to the previous generation, and it does not extend to the family's current heir, Linton Edgar. Their manor is located at a short distance from Wuthering Heights, although it is not subject to the windy weather characteristic of the latter, and its gardens are guarded by large hounds. Following Catherine Earnshaw's marriage to Linton Edgar, the title of Chief Butler of the Edgar Family was claimed by Nelly.

The Butlers of the Edgar Family wear two types of uniforms: the men's uniform consists of a black suit over a white shirt, tied with a black cravat around the neck, and a silver pin on the left lapel, possibly the family crest; the women's uniform resembles a french maid uniform, consisting of a black floor length dress, a white apron, a white headband, and a grey ribbon around the neck. The Butlers carry a brown dimensional attache case with a silver crest, in which they store their combat cutlery.

Fighting Style

There are two types of Edgar Family Butlers, the males and the females, they have drastically different kits. What is in common between the two is that they rely primarily on healing SP, outspeeding enemies, and additional effects based on the opponent's HP. Additionally, there is a third Veteran Butler that merges the different effects held by the first two variants. Lastly, they all have an evade that heals SP on evade.

The female butlers have a 1 coin Pride Blunt skill with Level Down as their first skill. Their second skill is a 2 coin Envy Slash skill that inflicts Bind, Level Down, and Fragile/Paralyze. Their third skill 3 coin Envy Slash similar to their second skill, but it inflicts Slash Resist Down instead of Bind. Finally, they passively gain Skill Power against enemies with low HP.

The weaker male butlers have identical Slash skills except for their Skill 3. Ratcatching is a 2 coin Lust skill that inflicts Bleed and Bind. Twisting is a 2 coin Envy skill that inflicts Bleed and Paralyze that deals bonus damage to max health targets. Their unique skill is a 4 coin Pride skill that gains Slash Power and does bonus damage based on the Bleed the target has, while also inflicting Bleed and either Bind/Paralyze. Finally, they passively gain Clash Power to slower targets.

The Veterans are superior versions of the minor ones. The female one has skills that combine the effects of the other two, while the male butler has enhanced skills that inflict greater amounts of bleed, in addition to Fragile. Likewise, both have an additional fourth skills that inflicts Bleed Potency in the double digits and have skill reuse activations among other unique effects.

Sinner Identities

The Edgar Family Identities are part of the World of Wuthering Heights added in Season 4 as Seasonal Identities, and can be obtained through Extraction or the Dispenser during Season 4 or from Season 6 onward.

• The Edgar Family is based off of the Linton Family from Wuthering Heights. Much like the Edgar Family, the Linton Family is an affluent family whose home, Thrushcross Grange, neighbors Wuthering Heights.
