Line 4: Masquerade
Line 4: Masquerade is the fourth line of Refraction Railway introduced in Season 4: Clear All Cathy. It is unlocked by completing Canto VI.
Line 4 is composed of 13 total Stations, divided into 4 Sections. 10 of these Stations offer highly difficult encounters based on enemies encountered in Canto VI, 3 new Abnormalities that had E.G.O available from Season 4's battle pass, and enemies based on the Envy Peccatulum. The Stations in each Section are treated as multiple waves of a single Encounter, encouraging the use of Identities that require lengthier setup.
The remaining 3 Stations are non-combat Stations intermittently placed in the line, and acts as resting points. Here, Identities' HP and SP are reset to 0, and your Identity and E.G.O loadouts can be adjusted.
Unlike previous Refraction Railways, all Sinners must be deployed before the start of Combat Encounters. However, only the first 6 deployed Identities will initially participate in the battle; the remaining Identities will remain as Backup, participating in battle as Sinners onfield are killed. Additionally, Identities will gain various buffs in-battle based on their initial order of Deployment (this extends to Backup Identities).
Unlike in other Encounters, ally units do not lose SP upon ally death in Line 4 (denoted in-battle by the

Does not lose SP upon ally defeat. buff). Identities also give additional E.G.O resources upon death according to their Sin Affinities: Identity death give 1 Skill 1-Affinity resource, 2 Skill 2-Affinity resource, and 3 Skill 3-Affinity resource.
Similar to Line 3: MirrorClock OrangeRoad, any changes made to an Identity or E.G.O's level or Uptie/Threadspin Tier after starting a run is reflected on the active team in the Railway.
