Summary

The Sinners learn that they are to take a WARP train to reach their next destination: District 16, P Corp. Vergilius and Charon are to take a separate one due to the former's status as a Color. While they are initially hesitant due to being mostly aware of the secrets behind W Corp's singularity thanks to the Identities, they are more accepting of it once being told they'll be taking the First Class car, allowing them to ignore the "true" amount of time required through usage of cryo-pods. However, problems arise when Faust awakens Dante and the Sinners three days during their nap. As it turns out, Limbus Company had been tasked with clearing up a Distortion that had been making passengers disappear on the train they were ridding, much to their frustration. Worse, the strange nature of the WARP Train has somehow disconnected Faust from the collective of other Fausts, known as the "Gesellschaft", depriving her of her omniscience. Faust and Dante are then forced to figure out Distortion's identity while making sure the Sinners don't find out about Faust. Through observation and discussion, the culprit is revealed to be a Bloodfiend, who has been hiding out in the WARP Train and converting passengers into "Bloodbags", which is why passengers have been disappearing.

Reaching the Bloodfiend, a prince named Cassetti, they learn that they made one of the Fixers that were riding the WARP Train his kindred, killing all the survivors, to Don Quixote's anger. However, the Sinners are unable to deal with Cassetti's regeneration and eventually exhausts all of the others save for Faust, while his Kindred manages to steal the master keycard from Faust, forcing her make a gamble by holding a cease fire and negotiate with the prince. With Dante, they enter the Mephistopheles, where Faust's connection is restored. Before she and Dante can allow the Bloodfiend to use the master keycard to feed on the First Class car in exchange for their safety, Don arrives, and still attempts to fight Cassetti. However, as the vampire bites down on her to turn her into one of his, Faust gets in front of Dante and tells them not to tell the Sinners what is about to occur. Then, as Don's running sneakers Rocinante fall off in the struggle, she suddenly exudes a powerful shockwave that turns Faust into a bloody paste. The manager then witnesses Don Quixote transformed into a Bloodfiend more powerful than Cassetti, dubbed "The Second Kindred", who for the "sin of filial impiety", effortlessly dissolves him and his Kindred into blood. 'Don Quixote' then asks Dante to place the shoes back on her, and after doing reverts back to her previous state before falling unconscious.

After Dante rewinds everyone, they find the master keycard had been destroyed in the scuffle. Before everyone can freak out, Faust directs everyone deeper into Mephistopheles, using the Backdoors to escape the train's passage of time before returning to it, it's voyage now done, and reunite with Vergilius and Charon. Something else of note is a WARP employee survivor who warned the Sinners of the dangers ahead before escaping into a portable cryo-pod, who suspiciously is no longer there. Now back to normal, Dante asks Faust how long she knew Don Quixote was a Bloodfiend, with the Sinner revealing she always knew, as does Vergilius. She also admits she has become too reliant on Gesellschaft. Dante, while still nervous about what's to come in District 16, tries to hype themselves up to claim the next Golden Bough.
