This Identity has the following unique Sanity mechanics:

- This Identity mirrors Ahab in an alternate world.
- Notably, this version of "Ahab" chose to pursue the Crimson Whale instead of the Pallid Whale.
- This was the first Identity to have more than two passives.
- Enemies that qualify for the Passive "Hour of the Hunt"'s damage boost against <Lake Entities> include:
- The Pequod First Mate Yi Sang and The Pequod Harpooneer Heathcliff are present in this Identity's Uptie story. However, they are not referred to by name and are instead referred to as Harpooneer and First Mate whilst having the respective sinner's colors behind their names. This may be due to Captain Ishmael only seeing them as their role and not their identity.
- When winning a clash with Harpoon of Obsession, a special clash animation is played on the last clash instead of the normal ones.
