Spider Bud (T-02-43) is a non-fightable TETH-class Abnormality, that was originally contained at L Corp. Headquarters.

It can be encountered in the Mirror Dungeon through Abnormality events exclusively within The Noon of Violet Theme Pack.

It is the source of the E.G.O Red Eyes.

Appearance

Spider Bud appears as a large, dark-purple 'bulb' that hangs from the ceiling. It possesses numerous red eyes of varying sizes. These eyes are vertical and are scattered across its body.

Spider Bud is shown to be highly protective of its spiderlings, fully encasing anyone who harms them in its web. These cocooned victims are then offered as food to its young.

We came across a containment unit as we were making our way across the hallway. Its door is letting off sparks of lightning.

Looks like the generator's shorted; the door refuses to close. But it doesn't seem like whatever Abnormality in there's escaped.

Try as we might to take a better look inside, the sheer darkness of the containment unit makes it hard to tell what's going on in there.

The webs hanging from the ceiling and the suspiciously pitch-black floor were quite bizarre to behold, however.

Stare at the webs. Select to gain a Bleed E.G.O Gift Looking through the webs reveals… small spiders crawling within. And that they were no mere spiderweb. The darkness that devoured the floor lights up, red eyes glowing and teeming. The little spiders notice the generator, and begin weaving their webs. Some of them stick to the Sinners, slowly crawling up their bodies. E.G.O Gift Filial Love Earned!

Check the generator. Select to gain a Charge E.G.O Gift Thankfully, it doesn't take much time before a malfunctioning part is identified. We carefully removed the malfunctioning part… … and all of a sudden, the generator stops fizzling, and the door of the containment unit slams shut. E.G.O Gift Misaligned Transistor Earned!

Thankfully, it doesn't take much time before a malfunctioning part is identified. [Sinner] yanks out the malfunctioning part, and the containment unit echoes with a heavy, resounding noise. A few spiders, spooked by the noise, lunge and bite at the Sinners. All allies lose 20 HP and 12 SP. E.G.O Gift Filial Love Earned! E.G.O Gift Misaligned Transistor Earned!

Both of Ryōshū's E.G.O were added to the Standard Fare during Season 2 and are obtainable through the Dispenser.

Ryōshū's Lobotomy E.G.O Identity was added as part of Walpurgisnacht - IV during Season 4 and is obtainable through the Dispenser exclusively during Walpurgis Night Events.
