Dungeon Layout

The layout of a Floor in The Noon of Violet Theme Pack.

The 'The Noon of Violet' Theme Pack always follows a set layout, regardless of what Floor of the Mirror Dungeon it appears on. It is as follows:

  • A Rest Stop immediately after the Start node.
  • Two branching paths, each containing two Dungeon Event nodes, after the Rest Stop node. These Dungeon Events would always be the four Dungeon Events specific to this Theme Pack.
  • Two Abnormality Battle nodes after the Dungeon Event nodes, where the aforementioned branching paths converge.
  • 1 Boss node after the Abnormality Battle nodes.

We came across a containment unit as we were making our way across the hallway. Its door is letting off sparks of lightning.

Looks like the generator's shorted; the door refuses to close. But it doesn't seem like whatever Abnormality in there's escaped.

Try as we might to take a better look inside, the sheer darkness of the containment unit makes it hard to tell what's going on in there.

The webs haning from the ceiling and the suspiciously pitch-black floor were quite bizarre to behold, however.

Looking through the webs reveals… small spiders crawling within.

And that they were no mere spiderweb.

The darkness that devoured the floor lights up, red eyes glowing and teeming.

The little spiders notice the generator, and begin weaving their webs.

Some of them stick to the Sinners, slowly crawling up their bodies.

Thankfully, it doesn't take much time before a malfunctioning part is identified.

We carefully removed the malfunctioning part…

… and all of a sudden, the generator stops fizzling, and the door of the containment unit slams shut.

Spiders begin crawling onto [Sinner].

[Sinner] yanks out the malfunctioning part, and the containment unit echoes with a heavy, resounding noise.

A few spiders, spooked by the noise, lunge and bite at the Sinners.

Few minutes later, we found ourselves quickly making our way through the hallway with a box of Enkephalin in our hands.

When the argument began to turn into an extended debate, [Sinner] picked up both the Enkephalin and the gas canister.

We must've wasted too much time in there.

Upon exiting the corridor, we're greeted by a giant something rushing in our direction from where we were earlier.

We quickly ran the other way.

Once the pious ritual was over, a solitary scarecrow stands in the place of the great Skull, showering in the mysterious light.

We look up to see white butterflies above us.

Though given wings, the butterflies wander the hallway, fluttering to nowhere.

We make our way to where it seems to rest a while, and we see a large coffin past the transparent glass window.

It was too grand for a one, yet too small for many.

'A lonesome coffin lies.'

'Eugh, a coffin…? I have a bad feeling about this. We probably shouldn't touch it, right?'

'That'd be the safer choice, yeah… but what if there's something in there that could help us?

Let's not mess with the coffin and leave.
We solemnly paid our respects to the coffin past the door, then left.

Butterflies without a home dance, fluttering toward us on a shearing, cold wind.

Are they writhing out of sorrow, or are they wingbeats of lamentation? We cannot know.

A remembrance rises as I quietly observe the butterflies. That something has merely and fully returned to whence it came.
