Children in the Flask is a non-fightable Abnormality that can be encountered in Abnormality events in the Mirror Dungeon.

Appearance

Children in the Flask is an intertwined meshing of glass chemistry flasks, conjoined into one construct. Tube sections that extend outwards are plugged with corks. The glass form is filled with a pink liquid composed entirely of personified droplets, each with their own faces and wills.

Something that creaks, squeaks, and shakes is stood before us.

Inside it is a pink liquid.

It heaves whenever the liquid container shakes.

Or it might be the liquid's movement that causes the massive glass body to move.

The liquid seems to consist of multiple things and beings.

Each droplet has its own face.

One sad-looking droplet is pushed away by its mean-faced peers.

The glass giant trembles, and a pink droplet is ejected.

The droplet is crying.

Comfort the pink droplet.

"How do I comfort a droplet..."

As odd as the order sounds, the Sinner does their best to lift its spirits.

The droplet seems to have perked up thanks to the Sinner's efforts.

"I could be free thanks to you."

It feels as though the droplet said something like that.

Soon enough, the droplet disappeared from view, and an object that looked like a big glass container was left in the place.

"How do I comfort a droplet..."

As odd as the order sounds, the Sinner does their best to lift its spirits.

Alas... it didn't seem to help the droplet shake off its gloomy mood.

"Thanks anyways, this is for your trouble."

It feels as though the droplet said something like that.

The droplet handed us half of itself, and disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Seeing as the Sinners are saying they're feeling refreshed, its half must have been a gift.

Put the pink droplet back into its pink body.

It's only right to put it back where it belongs.

The droplet is lifted and pushed into the giant glass container.

And we watched.

We watched the face of the droplet being filled with terror, contempt, anger, and loathing as it slid down the tube.

"You shouldn't have done that."

"We might have looked like one in your eyes. But to me, this is hell."

It felt like it told us such things.

Along with the glass container, we could hear something within our hearts crack.

The Selected Identity lost 25 SP!

"...Ahh!"

While we were distracted by the face, the droplet bounced off and slid out of view.

...Maybe it was something we shouldn't have done.

Nothing happened.

Trivia

  • This Abnormality's appearance and E.G.O Gift appear to be reminiscent of Faust's logo, both representing a flask with pink contents.
