Centaur is a non-fightable Abnormality that can be encountered in Abnormality events in the Mirror Dungeon.

It bears a striking resemblance to Nymph.

Appearance

Centaur resembles a nurse with a face bandaged with its own flesh. It wears a normal nurse's white blouse and hat, however its skirt is ripped where the Abnormality's lower body extends into the rusty frame of a hospital bed. Grotesque arms run down each of the beams holding up the bed, with its (backwards) hands resting on their respectful wheel. Centaur also possesses "normal" arms extending from her torso in the form of long, giant three-pronged claws. In her right she holds a massive pair of metal scissors. On the rear of the bed frame an IV stand sticks out, holding three skulls on one side and a blood pack on the other. A tube transfers the blood to the nurse's forehead.

This is a hospital.

It's dark and bleak, like the hallway of the hospital always has been.

From the end of the hallway where the lights flicker, something giant approaches.

It slides down at a constant pace, making the sound of rusted wheels.

A person is tightly tied to the dusty hospital bed; could they have been a patient in the past?

When they reached the thought that there was no point in trying to fathom how long they had been lying in it,

It began to move at last, one with the bed.

Having earned the freedom to freely run after too long,

It fiercely charges at us, dragging its wheels along.

Pull out the intravenous line on its body. Wrath & Lust Advantage check. Pass to gain a Keywordless E.G.O Gift. Who will step forth? Wrath / Lust Advantage: ≥ 12 No Advantage: ≥ 24 Check Passed The intravenous line was removed from its body. When the red line was pulled out, its body regained vigor as if relieved of some kind of curse. Perhaps the line was siphoning its nutrition rather than supplying it. E.G.O Gift First-aid Kit Earned! Check Failed The intravenous lines were too intricately intertwined to pull out. While digging through the knots, you feel a sting on your hand. You look down to find that a needle was poking into the back of your hand. You quickly pulled it out, but you felt dizzy for some reason. The Selected Identity took 20 HP Damage!

Run off. By the time we could no longer hear the wheels, we stopped and turned around. It stood still in the hallway, seemingly giving up on chasing us. One day, when the bed collapses and its wheels can no longer turn, it will finally be able to leave the hospital. We could get out of the place with just a few more steps. All Allies lost 15 SP!

• Centaur belongs to a set of Abnormalities with a theme of medical practitioners named after creatures originating from Greek mythology.
  • The Abnormalities it shares this theme with are Hydra,Nymph, and Cyclops.
• Both Centaur and Nymph's designs share similarities with and may have pulled inspiration from the iconic nurse enemies of the Silent Hill series.
