Talk:Limbus Company Wiki
how does discuss work here I have no idea bro
About The Move
I'm wondering what sparked the change now (a week from now lol), and not earlier, but I am NOT complaining.
doth wiki gg not have the same forums as shitassnormal wiki? pity
if only it did to make the shitass""""fandom"""" wiki even more obsolete
idk what to title this :3
the ONLY benefits that fandom had was
that i understood editing at all, like dude i dont understand html or markdown or whatever this site uses i just want to edit for goodness sake!
and also i wish there was a discuss tab because i feel there should be a page for traits similarly to how "list of ego/identities" pages work for good organization, but idk how to make that so i can't myself -maecrab
- hi sorry the talk pages are a mess right now, I'm going to try making a guide for using them soon. if you'd like to edit more I'd honestly recommend looking at a similar page to the one you are trying to base it off of and seeing what elements are being used. For example a character page's infobox code can be easily copy pasted and have the important information switched out for another character's page! I'd also suggest joining the discord server if you use Discord, even if you don't want to stay in the server you can hop in and we can clarify things and answer any questions in a much quicker format than a talk page.
- As for a list of traits page I don't know if they're currently relevant enough of a game feature to get a list, but we do have them all sorted into categories which you can see over here! I hope that this helps for now. These categories in addition to being in the Identity's infobox can also be found at the bottom of the page in the category section, usually as the last one listed. We will consider making a list of traits page in the future ! YouthOfPanda (talk)
Certain Pages that feel strangely excluded
I just passive have been using this wiki for a while, but there's always been some strange things I've noticed about this wiki compared to some others.
First is that there is no page for the history of banners and featured units, it's usually one of the most prominent things on other gacha game wikis so it feels strange that it hasn't been made anywhere for Limbus.
Secondly is the page for Extraction Tickets, I noticed this when trying to decide on when to use the Season 4 Extraction Ticket, the page for extraction tickets does not mention the pool for each of the tickets. This would be really useful for new players who want to see what the options are for things such as the New Manager Hiring Check-in Nominable Tickets before getting them from the login.
sorry if this doesn't appear correctly in the talk section ive never edited any wikis other than minor tweaks
- Hi! Don't worry this is a fine place to ask. For the first part, we do have Extraction/Banner_History which is probably a bit awkwardly named in terms of searchability and isn't linked anywhere other than the root Extraction page, so I'll try to look into other places to link it. It needs an update to make the format easier to read on mobile as well, but I'm less sure on how to do that
- I do agree that the Seasonal Target Extraction Tickets could use a list of what they have available, I'll work on adding that somewhere in the page :) Thank you for the suggestions! - YouthOfPanda (talk) 17:59, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
how the hell do you make a sandbox page
sorry idk how to create a sandbox page - Funniguy420
Hi! Look at the bottom left of wiki.gg where it says "Tools". Under that, select "New page". Use the drop down to select "User", it's one of the first ones on there. Then in the box next to it, type out your username exactly as it is, then put a forward slash, and what you want your page to be called. So you might type "Funniguy420/Sandbox". Then hit create. That's it :) ac (talk)
so like how to you create a copy of a page that exists as a sandbox? do you just copy the pages code - Funniguy420
Yes, you can just copy the code (after clicking "edit" on the page you want to copy from-- you won't get any of the actual code if you just copy the page as it displays normally) from another page, and from there you can paste it into yours. ac (talk)
about sinner's nationalities
Is it okay if I change the flag of the nationalities of each sinner with the flag of the country during the time the work/book they're based on was released?(exception to this would be outis since ancient greek didn't have flag, she would still retain modern greek flag) - TimmyThePea
Hello, sorry for the late reply! I'm afraid we're better off keeping it as-is. Using older, alternative flags would most certainly spark confusion that is not entirely necessary. Additionally, the literary sources are just not canon enough to Limbus Company for us to base something like that on. Even as someone who generally knows when the books were released, I personally would never be able to make a connection between an old flag and the literary source's publication date. The nationalities listed are also meant to be reflective of a surface level take from the source material given how Limbus Company adapts their language, such as calling Sinclair German because he speaks German and Demian is written in German, regardless of the potential for a more complicated assessment of his nationality given Hermann Hesse's background. Taking something so exclusive to the literary sources (the publication dates) by using older flags is likely to call us into considering them more in general, and could cause some difficulties over the consideration of Sinclair and Gregor's nationalities specifically.
It's a neat idea, but in this case, the more straightforward the better. ac (talk) 14:16, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
Understood. I appreciate the responses nonetheless - TimmyThePea
Uhh "prequel" (yeah, I'm being a bit pedantic)
I've noticed the prior games often referred to as "prequel" games on the wiki, even in the first paragraph on the home page. And that's... not what that word means? A prequel means it was made after the work it is meant to precede, and isn't just another synonym you can use interchangebly for "previous" or "preceding" or so forth. Like that is the one purpose for this word to exist, that definition. Even with my own personal gripe aside (heck, this has bothered me forever), it could lead to misunderstanding for people new to project moon. Any objections for me like, just making a minor one-word change around the wiki? -wolfywoo
