Werner (Hangul: 베르너, Be-reu-neo) is a Little Brother of the Middle who is assisting Ricardo in tracking down the Sinners as they travel throughout the City. He is an antagonist introduced in Intervallo V: Nocturnal Sweeping.
Appearance
Werner's hair is a dyed white with visibly dark roots, worn in a slicked back manner. His body is covered in typical Middle tattoos, most notably a few shapes around his left eye, on both his brow and cheek. He shares a typical appearance of members of the Middle, with a long purple coat with a large fur collar, as well as hefty chains adorning his arms and torso. He wears his Book of Vengeance across his chest.
Personality
Werner appears to be deeply loyal to Ricardo, apologizing deeply for having gotten their group involved in the scuffle between the Sweepers, Shi Yihua's group and the Sinners. Common of members of the Middle, he views the others as close family.
Story
Werner assisted Ricardo and a collection of the Middle members in tracking down the Sinners, allowing Ricardo to enact vengeance following the events of Canto V: The Evil Defining. This lead the group to H Corp.'s Backstreets.
Werner accompanied Ricardo in his attack on the Sinners while they were located within Qingtao's kezhan. In the midst of the battle, they were cut short in their vengeance, as Shi Yihua brought attention to the decaying environment, allowing Sweepers to begin an assault on the Sinners. As the battle against the Sweepers progressed, the Middle were scattered as a piece of the Backstreets was restructured, hitting several Sweepers, Ricardo, and Werner, which sent them flying off into the distance.
