–Wang Ren, Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing |
Wang Ren is a member of the Wang family and a participant in the Family Hierarch Evaluations. He is a supporting character in Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing.
Appearance
Wang Ren is a man with straight bangs, a small piece on the left side fastened aside by two horizontal hairclips. He wears black-rimmed circular glasses, and a brown-gray robe with a plaid pattern across it and elbow-length sleeves. On his right wrist, he wears a black bracelet, and carries a thick brown book in his left hand. Beneath his robes, he wears brown pants and similarly colored loafers.
Personality
Wang Ren is a spoiled man with little concern for others, looking to become the hierarch of Daguanyuan. He is shown to be meek, aiming to accomplish his goals without concern for the safety of others, such as endlessly offering blood to Bloodfiends in hope of achieving a faux immortality.
Story
During the first round of the Family Hierarch Evaluations, Wang Ren would be the first to be called to demonstrate his answer to immortality. Mistakenly believing the Bloodbag he had acquired via Bloodfiend Hunters for an actual Bloodfiend, he presented the monster to the trio of judges, only to be told his answer was not sufficient. After a brief panic, attempting to explain how all one needs is blood to reach the immortality they crave, Don Quixote solemnly explains the downsides of life as a Bloodfiend. He is promptly dropped to his death, as the circular plate he and his Bloodbag stood upon is opened.
