Are we absolutely certain he's dead? LCE Checkup Sancho is still labeled as a Second Kindred, and we now (thanks to Prince Meursault's Uptie story) know for certain that Bloodfiends get raised in generation should their parent die. This also explains why she was suspicious of what Dante told her about LMDQ's fate directly after the fight - P Corp scooped him up and obviously plans on experimenting on him, but she didn't sense that she'd ended up as First Kindred.

She did mention taking her father’s place, and as I’m quite certain that she wasn’t meaning being stuck in a giant ferris wheel or making an amusement park it can really only mean their bloodfiend rank imo

We can't be absolutely certain, but it's more than reasonable to consider him as dead. As he dies, it's described: "He grows more faint with every breath. His hand, reaching out toward Sancho, trembles weakly. Death is near.", afterwards Cesara describes him as a "carcass", and Faust refers to his "remains". The unfortunate truth is that Project Moon is incredibly bad at keeping their Bloodfiend lore straight and I don't think I could name one aspect of Project Moon that features more retcons and contradictions. Someone on the wiki staff sent in an email suggesting that the label of Sancho as Second Kindred in Check-up is a mistake and requesting that they change it, so if we get lucky that might be corrected and clear some things up. ac (talk)

i think it's because it would cause the problem of the death of a first kindred making two first kindreds causing infinite first kindreds
