–Shi Sijing, Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing |
Shi Sijing is a member of the Shi Family, as well as one of the many Family Hierarch Evaluation candidates competing for the role of Hierarch in District 8. He is a minor antagonist in Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing.
Appearance
Shi Sijing is a burly man with dull brown hair that extends to his collarbone, where the tips have a green gradient. His bangs are parted in the center, revealing a stalwart expression with his eyes closed, and several circuitry wires lining his cheeks and forehead, traveling down his neck. He wears a green robe with a yellow inner robe and sash, the right arm of his robes rolled up to reveal a muscular arm covered with circuitry similar to those on his face. His feet are uncovered and plain.
Personality
Shi Sijing is a brutal man, willing to sacrifice his men for experimenting in ways to ensure his own safety. He treats others as trash, discarding them as they lose their use. He is shown to be spiteful towards Hong Lu due to the latter's easy life.
Story
Shi Sijing participated in the Family Hierarch Evaluations. He succeeded in the first round, and was met in the second round. During this, he encountered Hong Lu and his entourage while Sijin was busy checking the status of one of his men, afflicted by madness. Deeming the man no longer worth keeping around, he would have him executed, turning his attention to Hong Lu. Malaising on how many "servants" Hong Lu still has, Shi Sijing makes it known how effective he views sacrificing those he deems to be lesser. Following the short discussion, he attacked Hong Lu, all the while allowing his men to take fatal blows for him, though he fell regardless. In his defeat, Shi Sijing refused to allow for his enemy to claim his coins, and chose to forfeit moments before it happened.
