Kong Sihui was a member of the Kong Family, a scientist, and the loving wife of Kong Youjin. She was pulled into a scheme by Jia Mu that ultimately lead to the Kong Family's downfall. She is a supporting character in Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing.

Appearance

Kong Sihui is an older woman with brown hair tied into a bun, fastened by a floral ornament and pin keeping it in place. She has two thick strands of hair reaching from her forehead to the tops of her ears. She wears a pink-and-gold hanfu with ornate golden patterning on the sleeves, and a floral pattern along the hemline of the skirt. She wears a translucent, pale blue cloth overtop her outfit.

In the period leading up to her death, Kong Sihui was pregnant.

Personality

Kong Sihui was a very patient woman, interested in the sciences she participated in, assisting in resources for Jia Mu's experiments. She cared greatly for her husband and unborn child, hoping for a great future for the people of Hongyuan.

Story

Prior to the events of Limbus Company

Kong Sihui once met with Jia Mu alongside Kong Youjin, who established a plan to create a thirteenth Heishou Pack Branch, invented by a Bolus created by the Hierarch accompanied by the team of Kong Family scientists. In reality, this was a front, planned by Jia Mu to have the Kong Family annihilated. Kong Sihui would be surprised with a specialized Bolus as supposedly a means to ensure good tidings for their unborn child.

At the day of the presentation, Kong Sihui and Youjin would sit front row for the presentation, yet would ultimately end up brutally killed by the combined efforts of the Niaojia-ren, Outskirts monsters propagated by Jia Mu's special Bolus given to Kong Sihui, and the Head arriving to kill the monsters.

Their history would be twisted into a sign of greed among the royal houses of Hongyuan, painting a false history of hubris.

Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing

The history of the Kong Family would be made known to the Sinners and Lin Daiyu, as Hong Lu experiences memories reemerging via the resonance of a nearby Golden Bough.

Trivia

• Kong Sihui's pregnant sprite features the pattern of her hanfu's hemline overlaid improperly on her sprite sheet. This is impossible to see in-game due to the UI obscuring the stray patterning.
• On the day of their destruction, Jia Mu would threaten that the Kong Family would soon end up within Avīci Naraka, the deepest Hell found in Buddhist religion.
