–Garion, Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing |
Garion (Hangul: 가리온, Galion) is an Arbiter of the Head and a returning character from both Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina, where she is better known as Binah (Hangul: 비나, Bina). She is first introduced in Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing.
Appearance
Garion's appearance is identical to her second form as Binah of L Corp. She possesses pale skin with pitch black pupils, a single mole positioned beneath her left eye. She has short, asymmetrical black hair which is largely shaved down on her left side, but falls to her shoulder along the right side of her face, where it is embellished with golden highlights. She wears an Arbiter's uniform, a black dress with a long, feathered coat laid atop it. She also wears boots. Garion's outfit is adorned with golden highlights, including in hexagonal patterns along the right side of her dress and the upper left side of her coat. Unlike her depiction in Lobotomy Corporation, Limbus Company's Garion appears to be missing the iconic golden key earring she hangs from her left ear.
Personality
Garion is a powerful and sadistic individual committed to her violent duties as an Arbiter of the Head. She describes herself as someone who found a thrill in death and destruction where nothing else had ever managed to impress her, and therefore enacts brutality with both delight and satisfaction. Her ruthlessness is not usually the forefront of her personality, however, and the other half of her disposition takes the form of a wise and patient woman with a strong understanding of the City's cruelties. Outside of her calls to action as a seasoned fighter, Garion also enjoys observing others, taking a relatively non-judgemental approach to understanding their reactions and mindsets.
The greater extent of her personality is seen through her reincarnation as Binah, who also maintains the sadism and sagaciousness which defines Garion. As a Sephirah of Lobotomy Corporation, Binah is shown to hold a heavy grudge against the man who tied her to such a fate, and a serious responsibility even towards duties she is not particularly fond of. She also cements herself as an extremely knowledgeable, perceptive person. After multiple lives leading into her position as the Patron Librarian of the Floor of Philosophy, Binah eventually finds herself a slightly more amiable woman with an interest in philosophical discussion and the well-being of those around her, expressed in her own, mysterious way.
Story
Prior to Limbus Company
Garion worked as an Arbiter of the Head before even the events of Lobotomy Corporation. With the success of Jia Mu's plan to allow for the birth of Beastmen under the facade of creating a 13th Heishou Pack with the aim of eliminating the Kong Family for breaking a Taboo, Garion was dispatched to the old H Corp. There she, alongside the Claw, slaughtered every human and monster present in the Kong family's Hongyuan laboratory, fulfilling the Head's promise to punish Taboo-breakers. While Garion was aware of the true culprit of this crime, she merely called Jia Mu out of hiding, and opted not to kill her. The chair, table, and parasol Garion had calmly rested on during the Kong family's collapse were ultimately left at Jia Mu's request, intended to serve as a warning for future generations.

Trivia
- Prior to the May 29, 2025 update, only the English and Japanese translations of Canto VIII: The Surrendered Witnessing listed her name as Garion. Following the update, both translations now match the original Korean of Limbus Company, where she is put down as "???" in the name plate section of the dialogue box.
- This means that, within Limbus Company, Garion's name is only present in the credits of Canto VIII.
- The name Binah (Hebrew: בִּינָה; Bīnā) means "Understanding", and corresponds to the third sephira of the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, directly under Keter.
- While in Lobotomy Corporation Binah's layer lies near the bottom of the facility, in Library of Ruina her floor is closer to the top of the Library, more accurate to the position of her namesake within the Tree of Life.
- Her associated Sapling of Light power is "Superbia", which allows one to utilize any equipped E.G.O without using Sin resources.
- This is a reference to her job in Lobotomy Corporation, where she was tasked with extracting E.G.O from Abnormalities.
- Though her actual age is unknown, her birthday is on October 7th.
