Dulcinea (Hangul: 돌시네아, Dol-si-ne-a) is a Second Kindred Bloodfiend and the overseer of Area 3 of La Manchaland. She is a minor antagonist in Canto VII: The Dream Ending.
Appearance
Dulcinea is a thin woman with pale skin and sleek platinum blonde hair, which falls over her forehead and reaches down to the floor. She wears a dark purple layered ballroom gown with lilac flower embroidery, decorated by a large purple bow, a black and white corset with a deep neckline and dark purple shoulderpads and detached sleeves. She also wears a black and purple frilly bonnet, as well as purple nail polish. Her face is covered by a butterfly-shaped mask, and her left eye can be seen glowing red behind it. Dulcinea carries a large, frilly parasol, which she utilizes in combat.
Personality
Dulcinea is a bitter and nihilistic woman, clearly discontented with her role as the "Princess of Parade". Despite her role as a La Manchaland Overseer and high status as a Second Kindred, Dulcinea sees herself as powerless, viewing herself as just another attraction of the Parade, doomed to go around in cycles for the rest of her existence. She talks poorly of all people, including herself, but holds particular bitterness towards Don Quixote, envying her ignorance of her role and life outside of the park.
Story
Prior to Limbus Company
In the distant past, Dulcinea was made a Kindred by Don Quixote. After creating her own two Kindreds, The Barber and The Priest, she lived closely with her family of Bloodfiends in Don Quixote's kingdom. When Bari, an unusual Fixer fascinated by Don Quixote's choosing to remain in solitude that bored him, gradually planted a seed of interest in the lives of humans outside of his castle, Dulcinea was among the group as they dissolved his initial kingdom, assisting in the creation of La Manchaland. The group battled alongside humans in a war against Bloodfiends, gradually instating good standing among some groups of humans.
Two hundred years prior to the modern events of Limbus Company, Dulcinea was assigned to the role of La Manchaland Area 3's overseer, where she would appear at the head of the parade as its primary attraction. She was partnered alongside a lower Kindred as her Prince, only for the Kindred, Cassetti, to one day flee from the amusement park. While the group initially was comfortable with their new roles, starvation began to set in, leading to growing dissidence against their father who was choosing to starve them in favor of devouring humans. This dissent culminated in the acquisition of the Helm of Mambrino, which brought the amusement park's leader to his knees. While the family planned to make use of their peaceful father's binding, he closed the park with everyone inside. Only once a mysterious Bloodfiend bearing a Golden Bough arrived did they return to their roles with the park re-manifesting, now feasting on the people who entered the park.
Canto VII: The Dream Ending
Dulcinea was first encountered on top of her parade float when the Sinners are going through Area 3. When she was confronted by Don Quixote, the two had an argument where Dulcinea remarks that she has always hated Don Quixote’s oblivious nature and freedom. Tired of allowing her equal to interrupt the plans of the park, Dulcinea attacked the Sinners alongside her legion of Parade goers. At the end of the battle, Sansón interrupted to force the Sinners back into one of his plays. Romero, now a Bloodbag donning a Parade mask, attempted to attack Dulcinea before being quickly disposed of.
The memories forced onto Don Quixote result in her choosing to remove Rocinante and reveal her true form. Seeing this, Dulcinea remarked that the preparation for the Carnival is finally complete. With the Ferris wheel now able to be reached via the manifestation of their father's Fathoms, the loyal Kindred return to their father's side.
At the center of the maze-like dungeon, Dulcinea, alongside the Barber and the Priest, revealed what happened to Don Quixote when she left, with Don Quixote's siblings staking their father repeatedly. Finally stating their intent to kill the Sinners to feed their father, they attack in a final desperate gambit. However, having yet to recover from the wounds she received from before, she and the other overseers were ultimately killed.

Trivia
- Dulcinea is based on Dulcinea del Toboso from Miguel de Cervantes's novel The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha.
- The literary Dulcinea del Toboso is the imaginary lady that Don Quixote swears fealty to, loosely based on one Aldonza Lorenzo of the village of El Toboso. Although Don Quixote imagines Dulcinea as a high-ranking lady and the model of female perfection and beauty, the real Aldonza Lorenzo is an ordinary peasant girl who is entirely ignorant of Don Quixote's shenanigans throughout the novel.
