Strengths & Weaknesses

Bleed.pngBleedBleed.png BleedThe next Y time(s) this unit tosses an attack skill Coin, take X fixed damage. is a Status Effect that requires some managing, but can deal high damage. Because Bleed Potency has a maximum value of 99, a Bleed team can deal 99 fixed damage per coin roll per turn. For example, if an enemy with max Bleed Potency uses 3 Attack Skills this turn, and you Clash with each Skill 5 times before winning the Clash, the enemy will take 1485 fixed damage due to Bleed during those clashes. While it is difficult to get Bleed potency and Count high enough to deal that much damage outside of Mirror Dungeons, small amounts can still deal a lot of extra damage, especially against enemies with high level or other forms of damage reduction that take less damage from regular attacks.

Bleed is especially effective in Mirror Dungeons due to E.G.O gifts greatly increasing both Bleed Count & Potency application. Bleed Identities usually have a LcbSinLust.pngLust or LcbSinPride.pngPride skill. Bleed damage, like all types of fixed damage, ignores damage reduction from buffs (like Protection.pngProtectionProtection.png ProtectionTake -(X*10)% damage this turn. (Max 100%)), level scaling, and enemy resistances or weaknesses.

Bleed.pngBleedBleed.png BleedThe next Y time(s) this unit tosses an attack skill Coin, take X fixed damage. is least effective against Abnormalities with many parts, enemies with only one Skill Slot, and enemies with a low number of coins. It will often show extremely low damage output in Regular (Chain) encounters when there is an equal number of enemies and allies, but the damage will increase as both your identities and enemies acquire more skill slots.


Unlike other status effects, Bleed can often see the highest damage output by allowing an enemy to deal unopposed attacks. Because of this, it can be best to have a tank with Aggro.pngAggroAggro.png AggroIn focused encounters, slots with higher Aggro values are more likely to be targeted by enemies. defend while Identities that apply Bleed count and potency attack unopposed. This strategy can work well against Main Story bosses, but suffers in Railway or Mirror Dungeon due to HP being saved between fights.

Unlike other status effects, Staggering enemies can actually reduce a Bleed team's damage output. While this is almost always true in Mirror Dungeons, it is not always true in other modes of combat. Technically, the best method of causing Bleed.pngBleedBleed.png BleedThe next Y time(s) this unit tosses an attack skill Coin, take X fixed damage. damage is Extremely long Clashes. This is very difficult to achieve, but an ideal clash for a Bleed team involves a large number of tied clashes before the Identity loses the clash, allowing Bleed damage to trigger again when the enemy attacks. This is easiest to achieve by applying Plus Coin Drop.pngPlus Coin DropPlus Coin Drop.png Plus Coin DropPlus Coin Power -X for this turn. on Abnormality enemies, or by using Sinking.pngSinkingSinking.png SinkingThe next Y time(s) the unit is hit, take X fixed SP damage.
